CNSTR Table V.1
When you have a very close look at each of Paul Heijnen's collections, you'll discover an interesting pattern of creativity. Paul always peculiarly constructs his work. Each collection follows an extraordinary idea, yet incorporates practicality with a strong sense of fashion.
With the CNSTR Collection, Paul has done the very same thing. Yet, this collection depicts unique ideas and execution. This collection includes cabinets and tables as imminent reflections of modern design.
What is deemed special about this collection is its hinges that are magnified and built quite differently. The design and construction of the hinges add decorative functionality. The furniture's crossbeams are enlarged and embellished, and the cabinet's design is such that it does not conceal any of the inner workings.
You will notice that the design takes some inspiration from antique furniture and doors. The locking mechanism of the cabinet is similar to an old espagnolette lock. The hinges have seven independent axles that swivel 180 degrees to open the cabinet's door.
