Rondo (Inox)

The Rondo Mirror is made of stainless steel polished to high gloss. Its polished surface is perfectly reflecting the light and other objects placed in the same room or hall. Largescale convexities that appear on the surface of the mirror are literally able to alter the space. It is like making an individualized interior design of the moment when by rolling the mirror from one place to another everybody can create or rediscover a well-known environment to a brand new and grasping concept. Depending on the Rondo´s arrangement, either by hanging it or leaning at the wall, the mirror can change the perception of the surroundings.

All the objects By Zieta are the result of experiments of shaping steel. The most successful experiment involved shaping steel with compressed air. This technique introduced FIDU technology, which is used in constructing all of Zieta's collection.

FIDU technology combines two ultra-thin sheets to weld them together around the edges. The edges are inflated under the high pressure to form three dimensions. Objects that use FIDU technology are light-weight yet durable. Most of the stools have a glossy metallic sheen to add a retro-future aesthetic.

Oskar Zieta is known for creating unique and magnificent furniture pieces. He is famous for his inflated designs; most of his works are reminiscent of inflated shiny balloons. Most of his creations have the appearance of a big blob, similar to a delicate sphere.

Zieta makes the best use of art and technology to create his artifacts. He enjoys experimenting  with various construction methods.

Zieta's introduced FiDu technology; one of the most modern steel treatment technologies, one which has many applications in various industrial fields. FiDU stands for FreieInnendruckUmformung- Free Inner Pressure Forming. Using this technology, Zieta successfully gives an inflated-like appearance to the metal.

Zieta explains how he came up with this amazing technique using two flat sheet pieces. He had the idea of welding two sheets together and inflating them with water. After the inflated the sheets with water through a vent, he made a useful discovery. He found that the element was very stable and had an elegant shape. ThusFiDU became his signature technique to create furniture of the future.
